Job Announcement: Online Master of Science in Health and Human Performance Adjunct ICF Coaching Faculty & Group/Individual Mentor Coach

Pacific College of Health and Science is seeking dynamic individuals for the positions of Adjunct ICF Coaching Faculty & Group/Individual Mentor Coach in the Health and Human Performance program at our Online Campus.    

 

Our current openings is for the following course:

 

Health and Human Performance Coaching (HHPC): Professional skills 

 

Description: In our Professional Skills course, business skills are taught through the lens of the ICF core competencies. Students practice coaching skills on common business challenges and develop success strategies. As students prepare to enter private practice, they identify the communities to serve and refine their personal approach to coaching to develop their reputation. They apply cumulative skills from earlier courses to write and execute their business plans. 

This course consists of 9 business skills classes and 3 group mentor coaching classes. Students are also required to complete 3 individual mentor coaching sessions outside of class.

Adjunct ICF Coaching Faculty: We are seeking ICF credentialed adjunct faculty with exceptional communication skills who have a passion for teaching and coaching, and whose enthusiasm for the subject matter will be an inspiration to our students. The business skills classes live classes are Jan-March, Saturdays mornings PST or weekday late afternoons/evenings PST.

 

Job Summary: Adjunct faculty member should be qualified to teach classes at the graduate level. Focus on supporting students to identify their coaching vision and successful strategies to develop their business plan.

 

Specifically, you should have experience in:

1.     Demonstrating the ICF core competencies in coaching practice. 

2.     Recognizing blocks to meeting business/personal goals. 

3.     Developing a business methodology which includes goal setting, action planning, execution, measurement and accountability. 

4.     Using active listening and clear communication skills in business development and business planning. 

5.     Incorporating coaching competencies such as asking powerful questions, maintaining curiosity, establishing and maintaining agreements in the business development process. 

6.     Developing a business plan for the launch and ongoing successful enterprise. 

7.     Applying coaching principles and holding oneself accountable to achieving the key actions of the business plan. 

8.     Embodying a coaching mindset as it relates to business development. 

9.     Creating a set of metrics to determine the financial health of your business. 

10.  Creating a marketing strategy and associated calendar with measurable milestones. 

11.  Creating marketing collateral describing services offered and a website with branded content aligned with the business plan for your enterprise. 

 

Minimum/Required Qualifications:  

·       International Coaching Federation (ICF) ACC certification or higher

·       Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience

·       Experience teaching/facilitating in asynchronous and synchronous online environments

·       Have successfully run your own coaching business

Desired Qualifications:  

·       Experience mentor coaching

·       An extensive teaching resume coupled with a student-centered teaching philosophy 

·       Prior student course evaluations in psychology or coaching 

·       Extensive experience in university level online asynchronous and synchronous teaching preferred (2-5 years).  

·       Experience with Zoom, Moodle, Share-point or other learning management platforms (preferred)   

 

Group/Individual Mentor Coach

We are seeking ICF PCC/MCC credentialed mentor coaches to conduct virtual group and individual mentor coaching sessions. Group mentor coaching will take place via Zoom on three Saturdays for 3.5 hours each. Individual mentor coaching requires two hours per student and are scheduled according to availability.

 

Job Summary: Mentor Coaches must hold a current ICF PCC or MCC credential. Focus on core competency development by reviewing and providing oral and written feedback on a series of the student coaching sessions. 

 

Specifically, you should be able to:

1.     Provide specific verbal and/or written feedback, using targeted examples from the sessions.

2.     Listen beyond content to discern application of the skills related to the core competencies (i.e., skill versus direction, skill versus style or skill versus outcome for the client.)

3.     Listen equally for strengths and areas for growth

4.     Utilize ICF assessment tools in the evaluation of recorded coaching sessions used in the credentialing exam process.

5.     Listen both for the presence of individual competencies and for the overall totality of skill level.

6.     Distinguish which critical underlying competency (s) may be giving rise to ineffective or limited coaching impact.

7.     Discern and articulate the gap between levels of skill demonstrated and next skill level to attain.

8.     Articulate with specific detail examples of what is being observed and the specific development needed to move to the next skill level, delivered with sensitivity to the impact of the feedback.

9.     Offer feedback that is relevant to each specific coaching core competency, recognizing strengths as well as potential growth areas.

 

Minimum/Required Qualifications:  

·       International Coaching Federation (ICF) PCC certification or higher

·       Demonstrated experience mentor coaching

·       Business related degree or professional experience

Desired Qualifications:  

·       Master’s degree in business or equivalent
