Session Description:

Do you find your clients struggling in new ways with work and life? Are your traditional techniques and tools not working anymore?

Are your clients ghosting you? Do you want to coach more clients of color, or other marginalized identities?

It may be that a trauma informed approach to coaching is what you need. Trauma goes beyond a single horrific event that occurred in the past – it also includes unrelenting stress like unrealistic workplace expectations, or slow burns like an ongoing pandemic. The truth is everyone has some level of trauma – including your c-suite clients. Trauma informed coaching is better coaching – for everyone. It’s a must have in 2022 and beyond!

In this engaging, surprising, and interactive session, learn (1) the reality of trauma and where it lives, (2) how trauma and chronic stress show up in coaching sessions and clients’ lives, (3) what to know and do to be more trauma-informed, and (4) one or two tools to better regulate your own nervous system as a coach.

This session builds skills aligned with ICF Core Competencies 1 (Demonstrates Ethical Practice), 2 (Embodies a Coaching Mindset), 4 (Cultivates Trust & Safety), 6 (Listens Actively), and 8 (Facilitates Client Growth).
