The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted coaching practices everywhere. Clients have lost their jobs or businesses, and organizations have shut down or had their budgets slashed. At the same time, traditional marketing avenues for coaches, like networking meetings or live speaking, have disappeared. In this session, you’ll learn what kinds of marketing are still possible – and appropriate – during this crisis. You’ll also find out where to put your marketing efforts in order to produce results quickly. Come with your personal questions or concerns about getting clients, and we’ll look for solutions to them, together.

    Participants will:

    • learn five approaches that work when you need to get clients fast,
    • find out what types of marketing is best to avoid when you’re in a client-getting emergency, and
    • participate in group brainstorming and discussion on how to solve specific problems audience members are facing.

Participants will also receive 1.5 hours Resource Development Continuing Education Credits.

Our society understands the stages of human development: babies walk around the age of one year, there are the terrible twos and teenage angst, and our baby birds often leave the nest around the age 18. What is less understood is adult development: the predictable stages for how a person grows and develops over their lifetime.

Adult development holds the key for transforming your clients’ experience and managing their progress. Understanding adult development also helps you more deeply access the core competencies (establishing trust, powerful questioning, creating awareness and managing progress and accountability, to name a few). It empowers you to understand your clients on a deeper level. It cultivates a richer soil for the client’s growth. It goes well beyond the basics of establishing and reaching a goal. Adult development has the power to shift your client’s worldview and create transformative changes in their lives.

This thought-provoking and practical session will:

    • review the different stages of adult development theory,
    • provide clues to listen and watch for so you can distinguish what stage your client might be in, and
    • discuss why transformation to higher order stages is critical while leading in unprecedented times.

This webinar has been approved for 1 core competency and .5 resource development CCEUs. Please note that if you'd like to receive a CCEU certificate after the program, you must register at the $15 CCEU rate. Payments will not be accepted after the webinar.

Participants will learn key concepts such as:

    1. Presence Before Coaching: Techniques for becoming present prior to a coaching session

    3. Engaging and Utilizing Client Presence: Tools for helping a client get present (breathing, guided meditation, etc.) Helping a client somatically and visually sense an automatic habit; Utilizing techniques for helping a client envision a preferred future

Though many gauge the success of a session around whether the client had an "aha" moment, the coach doesn't want to force a client to have an insightful awareness. They can however, create the container and set the stage for awareness and expansion to be a likely outcome. Using a combination of teaching and exercises, Leah will demonstrate how to craft the perfect environment within a session to evoke awareness through the use of different techniques and tools. This highly interactive presentation explores way the coach demonstrates several of the core competencies, including active listening, powerful questions, direct communication and creating awareness.

    Key activities include:

    1. Understanding the value of using aligned metaphors and analogies

    2. Everyone is Intuitive - an exercise done in pairs

    3. Reframing Contest - a challenge done in small groups

All participants will receive 1.5 ICF Core Competency CCEUs!
