DESCRIPTION:
In this presentation, Neuroscientist Dr. Kelly Kent and Hayden Lee MCC will help coaches explore the neuroscience of triggers, how to manage them effectively, and how to implement this information into coaching sessions.

Coaches will learn the neuroscience behind emotional triggers and a practical coaching framework for introducing neuroscience concepts into coaching conversations. Participants will explore why emotional humility is the foundation of effective emotional management, understand the interconnected relationship between emotion and intellect, and discover why this integration is essential for creating lasting awareness and change in coaching.

  • Explore a practical framework for introducing neuroscience concepts into coaching sessions.
  • Examine why emotional humility is foundational to effective emotional management.

PRESENTERS

Kelly Kent, PhD, is a neuroscientist, educator, speaker, and co-founder of adaptED Consultants, where she applies neuroscience to help individuals and organizations grow and perform at their best. She earned her PhD studying the molecular mechanisms of stroke recovery and has conducted post-graduate research in autism at the University of Southern California.

Kelly currently teaches neurobiology to psychotherapy graduate students at Antioch University and brings brain science into the workplace by helping leaders create brain-friendly cultures, strengthen leadership practices, and develop neuroscience-based approaches to organizational effectiveness.

Recognizing the powerful connection between neuroscience and coaching, Kelly partnered with Master Certified Coach Hayden Lee to co-found the Master Mind Institute, which integrates neuroscience with coaching to enhance human and organizational potential.

Hayden Lee, MCC, is a Master Certified Executive Leadership Coach, the highest credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation, and co-founder of the Master Mind Institute, where he partners with neuroscientists to integrate brain science with professional coaching.

Recognized as one of the “Top 20 Best Coaches in Los Angeles” by Expertise.com, Hayden coaches executives, senior leaders, and teams from organizations including Google, Meta, TikTok, Lyft, FanDuel, and Match.com. He is also an international Enneagram master coach and faculty member with Integrative Enneagram Solutions and Leadership Education for Asian Pacific (LEAP).

Hayden co-created the ICF-accredited course Information for Transformation: The Neuroscience of Coaching and has spoken and facilitated trainings for organizations and audiences including TEDx, UC Berkeley, Nielsen, the Association for Talent Development, and the International Enneagram Conference.
