Got Ethics?: How Coaches Navigate Difficult Ethical Challenges

Excellence in the coaching profession includes upholding the highest professional standards with a solid foundation of ethical behavior. Coaches are expected to continuously search for self-awareness, self-monitoring and self-improvement. This session will explore a rich dialogue about coaching ethics through various case studies that coaches may face in their work with clients. Join us to learn more about a variety of ethical situations coaches have navigated and gauge how you would handle the same situation if you encountered it. This session will be interactive with the opportunity to explore your own personal “line in the sand” as we challenge our thinking and evaluate our own filter of rationalizing what is right and what is wrong through case studies applied to the ICF Code of Ethics. This session will help us better understand and prepare for a variety of ethical challenges in the world of coaching. Workshop participants will receive 2.0 core competency CCEUs.

Tamara is a founding board member of the ICF-SD Chapter.
